The golf Gods smiled on us to provide a clear evening with no rain and a course that was in good condition. This provided the conditions for some excellent scores. Thanks to Paul Goes for being starter.
The clear winner on the night was Hoppy with a great score of 23 points. In second place was Mark Houston with 20 points and in third place was Botty with 18 points. The nearest the pin was won by Paul Goes and the longest drive with a great shot, was won by John Brophy.
There were three guests, Nathan, Mauro and Quentin with Quentin winning with a score of 19 points and that with a scratch on one hole and playing off below scratch ! We are looking forward to having Quentin in the Ryder Cup team.
The pink ball had a number of competitors but it was Joe Lister who took the honour this week. The race to Grand Ducal is being led by Johnny Hill who extended his lead by a further four points. He is now on 85 points, Andrew Paton on 78 points and Paul Goes jumping out of the peloton and now on 77 points.
A special thank you to Jess for all his work on redesigning the website, to Mark Gillies and the team at AMS for hosting the site and to Will for providing the excellent photos. Do please have a look at the site www.frogs.lu and let Jess know any other suggestions / comments that you might have.
Thanks also to our two birthday boys, Craig and Johnny for the beers.
See you all for round 9 at Preisch on Wednesday 1st August where the starter will be Jess.
