Report CITCO round 8 – Kikuoka – 26 July 2017

Morning All,

Firstly big thanks to or starter Arnaud for arranging a great French feast for sending us out to do battle on course…..with the mantra of constant desire for improvement, referencing Big B, I think this can only be beaten by the style of the Italian contingent and maybe a young stunner serving the produce…. Females at the start, is that permitted by the constitution?

A few stats:
Standard Scratch: 14
NTP 3rd hole: Ayzo
NTP 7th hole: Arnaud
Bijnens Beer Leary: Arnaud
Longest Drive: Jess
Best Guest: Richard
Worst Guest: Phil

1st myself 19 – shows no practice can work…..Christiane was happy to receive the voucher, nice return after her giving grace for me to participate on the 20th wedding anniversary…..burger girls are great.
2nd Big Rob 17
3rd Peter B 14
4th Ayso & Arnaud 14
5th Will H

Pink Ball….young Gerry took the honours again…..with Marco, Richard and Colin following closely.

Matchplay results (after all the young bulls in a paddock type facing off over email pre the evening)….Peter B pipped Big Rob on the 10th hole, Craig hammered Simon and Big B’s pre match jousting got to the Dutchman and he ended 1 up….were you teasing him Big B?)

In answer to Big B….maybe we are all “selfish fuckwits” out on sunny Wed evenings trying to get the competitive juices flowing when we should be at home with family……on reflection after a minute or 2 I concluded these evenings are great and I look forward to the next one.

Cheers and happy holidays

Tony

PS….if any of the results from last night are presented incorrectly then apologies for my transposition from the hand written evening notes attached…..

Report CITCO round 7 – Junglinster – 5 July 2017

?Buongiorno,

?What a difficult task I had today! Not only express myself in a language which is not mine but to do it the week after Nick’s? [it was Tony, Ed.] fantastic report … but l’ll fight the perfidious Albion!

The sun was still high and the sky when our brave frogs jumped on Junglinster ?golf course? to play the round 7th of the 2017 CITCO Grand Prix. The players were welcomed by our starter Rob “the cowboy” and his generous offer of cheeses, salami, beers etc.
Thank you Rob and well done!

At yesterday event the 7th of the 2017 edition played 19 Frogs and they were quick enough to play all the 12 holes in bright light.

Only one AKD match play was played, Craig defeated Francis 3&2 (Francis….are you Dutch, don’t you?).

Gregor, our international glorious champion (background of heavenly music..) holed the 9th hole in one shot and generously and consequently offered a round of beers to all of us.

Thank you Gregor and well done! (background of heavenly music..)

Coming to the competition :

First of all many thanks to our sponsor CITCO.

Standard scratch was 14…quite low specially compared to the last event were it was 17.

Slow greens the reason?

?Probably, ask Craig his opinion on Junglinster greens.?..?

Nearest to the pin 4th Hole : Gregor (background heavenly music..)

Nearest to the pin 11th Hole: Jonny the kiwi

Bijnens Beer Leary : Steve

Longest Drive, 2nd Hole: Mark Hugues (background of pipes music..)

Best and worst guest: Martin

And finally the real winners:

1st) Marco 18

2nd) Gregor 17 (background heavenly music..)

3rd) Maarten 16

4th) Rob 15

5th) Craig 15

6th) Francis “the Dutch” 15

7th) David 15

Hard fight yesterday for the pink ball but Tim “the real Dutch” prestigious manager of our generous sponsor was good enough to outperform himself with an unrivalled 6 points.

? ?Pink ball: Tim

Watch out the Citco leader board where some players with only four events played are in the top ten…

Next event the will be the 26th of July at Kikuoka. See you all? there.

Marco
